Tasty Adventures at Farmers Markets
Warm weather is palpable and here to stay as Chicago’s Farmers Markets reappear with organic honey, homemade hot chocolate and fresh fruits for the picking! We received plenty of April showers this spring, which has reaped beautiful flowers and tasty produce. There are two Farmers Markets coming up next month that we’re excited for and they’re both at the Lincoln Park Green City Market. On July 20th, Green City Market is holding the annual Chef BBQ, where over 100 of Chicago’s top restaurants provide tasting portions of local, sustainable heirloom produce and heritage meats sourced from Green City Market Farmers. Not only will attendees have the opportunity to interact with the chefs, including our very own Chef Diego Amat from Mercat a la Planxa, but they’ll also enjoy tastings of handcrafted beverages with a focus on locally sourced ingredients from multiple Midwest brewers, distillers, and wineries.
