Lauren LaFortune embarked on her career in the restaurant industry in 2004 after relocating to Colorado to attend the University of Denver. While pursuing a degree in International Politics, she also worked as a server and host at Tamayo, a fine dining establishment where she began to grow her understanding of the local restaurant business.
After graduation, LaFortune joined the team at Sage Restaurant Group (SRG), starting out as a shift supervisor at Second Home in Denver. There she honed her skills and became adept in the leadership and organization of high volume restaurants.
From there, LaFortune continued her career journey with SRG at The Corner Office and Kachina where she was named “Manager of the Quarter” in two separate positions for her commitment to providing high quality guest services and fostering strong staff morale.
LaFortune’s passion and leadership provided her with the opportunity of a new locale and change of pace when she accepted the position of general manager at Hello Betty Fish House. In this role, LaFortune has integrated the laidback Oceanside beach lifestyle into the restaurant with friendly service and an approachable staff. Her management skills have helped grow the coastal eatery into a favorite for visitors and locals alike.
